Flowers Spring From Ashes
Set in the early 1950s, a time when society saw things differently…
Rebekah Fitzgerald arrives in a quiet town, desperate to leave behind the haunting shadows of her past. She doesn’t expect healing—only hiding. Terrified that the secrets she carries might one day destroy any chance at peace, she keeps her heart guarded and her truth buried.
But God has other plans.
One by one, He brings people into her life—kind souls who see beyond her fear. Friends who offer her grace. And a man… someone unexpected who reaches places in her heart she thought were long dead.
Rebekah tries to push him away, convinced she’s too broken for love. But their connection deepens, revealing that they were meant to find each other. His scars mirror her own, and together, they begin to understand the power of second chances.
As trust grows and faith is restored, Rebekah discovers a new kind of courage—one that leads her to embrace both healing and hope. With the help of those around her, she learns that even from ashes, beauty can bloom.
R. S. Goldsby is a young author from Kansas. She's married and a proud mother of one. The inspiration for her writing came unexpectedly—one day while driving with her husband, she asked him, “If we hadn’t met the way we did, how do you think we would’ve met?” His simple response, “I don’t know,” lit a spark in her imagination. They first met online when she was just 19 years old, and that question stayed with her. The idea slowly bloomed into what would become the Flowers Spring from Ashes series. What started as a personal story—written just for her—turned into something much bigger. She planned to write only one book, but God began to reveal more stories, more healing, and more depth than she ever imagined. So she kept writing… and she hasn’t stopped since.
