Shella City

About The Book

Shella is a city-state founded primarily to serve the fashion industry. Politically neutral and flourishing under a free economy, it is populated by a society formed from generations of global migration. People of Shella embrace fashion as a culture and lifestyle and view modeling as a form of devotion.

The novel begins seventy-five years after Shella’s foundation and ten years into the "Golden Age," an era marked by the rise of Domainia. Once a simple modeling and ads agency, Domainia has grown into a powerhouse by marketing breakthrough inventions in technology, genetics, and medicine, expanding its influence both inside and outside the city. Randal, the founder and CEO, has utilized his "Image Theories"—rooted in social and emotional intelligence—to transform modeling into a superpower and established a basis for the rest of people to follow for success.

The story follows the lives of various Domainia models, tracing their journeys from internal dilemmas to cutthroat competition. Their lives shift when they interact with a resistant movement working in the shadows to dismantle Domainia’s monopoly over Shella City. These rebels have been tracing rumors about Domainia’s illicit business dealings and suspicious, secretive gatherings.

The world and thousands of lives will reach a tipping point. Either Domainia remains in power, or the city falls to total collapse. Who will decide the true Image of Shella?

An adult fantasy in a parallel universe where fashion and luxury brands and wealthy populations were clustered in one city built and had protected the freedom of innovation. It’s a utopia from one side and a dystopia from the other, where both extremes of a liberated economy and a free society are explored in a complex journey of multiple plotlines and diverse POVs.
