A LONG NIGHT'S JOURNEY INTO DAY

BILLVILLE

by Rev. William F. Heagen

About The Book

Memory Lane. It’s the main street in and out of Billville. On it you will find houses of despair, factories of invention, and character refineries. It’s a paved road of laughter and tears, remorse, rejection, and most of all, renewal.

Billville was hardly a planned place. It grew as needed over many years. Like many castles in Europe, what once was a fortress of protection ended up abandoned and no longer needed. It doesn’t exist anymore, but if you look through the smoke and the haze, you can see that there was a church at its beginning and at its end. It was not a mere coincidence.

The Book of Revelation quotes God saying that He is the “Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End.” The crooked, often rocky, road that runs through Billville, shows that no matter how many detours and wrong turns one makes, God always offers us a path back to Him. And finding Him makes the entire journey worth its weight in gold.

Take a stroll through Billville, you just might discover how God still works all things for good.
