Angel (Terry) Sexton is a faith-driven author, storyteller, and advocate from the hills of rural Appalachia in East Tennessee. With a heart for children and a passion for gentle storytelling, she writes books that speak hope, courage, and healing into life’s quiet places. For more than two decades, Angel has served abused and neglected children and their families through her work at the Children’s Center of the Cumberlands, where she serves as Executive Director and CEO. This calling deeply shapes her writing, inspiring stories that help children feel seen, safe, and brave—even in their hardest moments. Angel’s books range from children’s safety stories and comforting picture books to faith-based devotionals rooted in Scripture. Her storytelling style is tender and reassuring, often weaving themes of compassion, resilience, and God’s faithful presence. Many of her children’s stories are inspired by real-life experiences and are created to support healing, education, and emotional understanding.
