The Breed that Nearly Wasn't
Australian Cobberdog
by Beverley Rutland-Manners
Who would have thought that there would be so much opposition to developing a new breed of Support Dog by an ordinary woman in Australia? I almost didn't tell this true story because I thought no one would believe it. But now I do tell it, exactly how it all happened, because I have lived through it.
This is not only a book for dog lovers. Quite apart from being in the history of this breed, I hope it is an encouragement to others who are going through your own tough times when a dream is in your heart that seems unlikely to come true. The Australian Cobberdog at last count is being bred by registered breeders in excess of 54 countries of the world it is so much in demand.
