A Journey of Faith

Learning to Live In God's Will

by Carl Powell

As a Christian, I have been told most of my life that I must surrender to God and allow Christ to be my Lord and Savior. I have spent most of my life trying to figure out what that means. We have little understanding of the word “Lord,” much less what it means to be subservient to someone or something.

About The Book

What does it mean to live in God’s Will? How do we even begin to understand what God wants for us and how to make decisions that fit that pattern? How do you start as a new Christian and grow to a point where you can trust God wholly and completely? What does it take to get there?

As a Christian, I have been told most of my life that I must surrender to God and allow Christ to be my Lord and Savior. I have spent most of my life trying to figure out what that means. We have little understanding of the word “Lord,” much less what it means to be subservient to someone or something.

It would be great if there were a definition of exactly what it means to accept Christ as our Lord and Savior. Maybe a list of things you have to do for this to happen. A checklist of sorts that we could attack, one at a time, until we were “there.” But, alas, no such list exists. And this book will not be that list for you either. But, hopefully, it will help you along your journey as you try to reach that “place” where you Live in God’s Will.
