I’m Carrie Ward, a Christian author, artist, and storyteller who lives somewhere between paint-splattered canvases and worlds filled with angels, strange creatures, and everyday kids learning to be brave. I write Christian-themed children’s books and fantasy stories that blend wonder, imagination, and the quiet, steady hope of Christ. My day profession is in healthcare program integrity, where I have spent over 30 years. By background, I’m a fluid acrylic artist and acrylic/oil painter who loves pouring color across a canvas and then finding the story hidden inside it—horses, creatures with wings, and dreamlike landscapes often show up in my work. That same sense of movement and mystery spills into my writing. My children’s stories are gentle, playful, and full of warmth, while my fantasy tales explore spiritual themes, unseen battles, and the reality of light in dark places, always anchored in a biblical worldview. I’m passionate about creating stories that families can actually talk about—books that stir big questions about God, courage, forgiveness, identity, and calling, without ever losing the joy of a good adventure.
