Short Bio: Chaplain Desmond Haye is the founding Pastoral Care, Ethics & Volunteer Services Director for Texas Health Hospital Mansfield. Chaplain Haye is a State University of New York, Albany (SUNY) graduate with a Master of Public Health, SDA Theological Seminary, MDiv, Northern Caribbean University, and a BA in Religion and Counseling. He is a Board-Certified Chaplain through the Association of Professional Chaplains (APC) and serves on the certification committee. He is a grief counselor who has provided support in grief, loss, death, and dying. Chaplain Haye is a Certified Educator Candidate (CEC) through the Association of Clinical Pastoral Education (ACPE). He is the author of The Voice of Hope: Seven Stories from a Chaplain on Hearing Hope in the Darkest Hour and Journey Of Wholeness: 21 Principles on Living and Feeling Whole. He is an ordained minister in the Seventh-day Adventist Church. He is married to Stacey Ann Lingon-Haye, a licensed master's social worker, and they have one son, Caleb. He lives by the philosophy “ The mind controlled by Christ is the measure of the man.”
