Turning the Grief of Child Loss Into a Light for Others
by D. Cole
When Kevin and Denise Cole’s oldest daughter, Heather, died suddenly in a tragic car accident at the age of twenty, life split in two – before and after. What began as a season of unimaginable grief slowly became of journey of healing, driven by faith, community, and Heather’s enduring sparkle and light.
Told with raw honesty and grace, Finding the Light shares the story of a family learning to live without the one they can never forget and transforming heartbreak into kindness through The Heather Cole Sparkle of Hope. A Facebook page of the same name chronicles the causes that have benefited from this kindness. Follow the tag #heathercolesparkleofhope to see their journey of healing and paying it forward.

She has just recently started her publishing journey and she just can't stop writing!! Currently she has 5 books published on Amazon KDP . The first book was a very personal one about the loss of their oldest daughter called Finding the Light: Turning the Grief of Child Loss into a Light for Others. She just completed a 4 book children’s series called The Misadventures of Ozzy and Ru, based on the likeness of her daughter and son-in-law's pets. Proceeds from these books will go to The Heather Cole Sparkle of Hope which is a non profit set up after she passed that benefits animal shelters, the homeless, and children’s causes in their daughter's memory. She is also starting a line of non fiction books that will hopefully bring in an additional revenue stream! Things are happening fast, so keep D. Cole on your radar!
