A Wellness Approach
by Dr. Stan Archie
Most conversations about mental health focus on illness, crisis, and what is broken. But what if we started measuring mental health by wellness instead?
In Redefining Mental Health: A Wellness Approach, Dr. Stan Archie challenges the illness-only model and introduces a bold vision of prevention, resilience, and hope. Drawing from decades of experience as a therapist, pastor, and community leader, Dr. Archie shows how families, schools, workplaces, churches, and policymakers can close the gap between illness and wellness.
This book offers practical tools, personal stories, and evidence-based insights that will help you:
* Shift from deficit thinking to asset-based approaches.
* Practice daily habits of mental wellness in six key areas.
* Build communities where resilience and connection are the norm.
* Reimagine systems—from schools to justice—to support prevention and healing.
Redefining Mental Health is both a guide and a call to action. It equips parents, teachers, pastors, clinicians, and leaders at every level to change the narrative and create a culture where mental wellness is expected, celebrated, and sustained.

a guide to parenting the whole child and while healing from your parenting wounds
Your child is being formed right now. The only question is — by what?
Parenting on Purpose gives parents a clear, clinically grounded, faith-informed developmental map for raising children through the four critical windows of human formation: Attachment, Exploration, Belonging, and Permanence. Each window opens. Each window closes. What happens inside it shapes who that child becomes — and who they will parent.
