This book was written in loving memory of my dad, Nimmo Singh, who sadly passed away in January 2025. For over 25 years, my dad worked with the iconic band UB40, touring the world seven times and spreading joy through music. His warmth, kindness, and ability to connect with people across cultures inspired this book and my desire to share that same sense of love and connection with children and families everywhere as part of my grieving process, I poured my heart into creating this story both as a way to express my own feelings and to help other families navigate loss with their little ones.

Hi, I’m Tina Kaur a children’s writer from Birmingham and a proud mum who believes in the power of heartfelt storytelling. I write stories that help children connect with big emotions like love, joy, and even loss all through the gentle magic of books. My debut picture book, I Love My Dad, was written in loving memory of my wonderful father, Nimmo Singh. Writing this story helped me work through my own grief, and I hope it supports other families in starting meaningful conversations about love, loss, and remembering the special people in our lives. When I'm not writing, you’ll usually find me snuggled up reading with my children, dancing in the kitchen, cooking up tasty meals, listening to music, or heading out for long walks and little adventures.
