Book I of the Loom of Realms
by A.R. JORYN
To them, she is a weapon. To her people, a traitor. To the resistance, their only chance.
Humanity has fallen beneath the rule of the Sheabra, a monstrous regime led by a king whose cruelty bleeds through the last scraps of civilization. Bound by chains of blood and power, General Lorena serves as his relentless enforcer, her name whispered in terror across the ruins of humanity. But behind the blade and the mask, a spark of rebellion stirs inside the hidden city of the Sturge. War ignites when King Atticus unveils a horror that could erase what remains of humanity. Lorena faces an impossible choice as every betrayal carries a price written in ash.
Will she serve, rebel, or burn with the realm she swore to protect?
"A haunting dark fantasy where loyalty cuts deeper than any blade."
"The Sturge is a dark fantasy tale of power, devotion, and the brutal cost of survival."
"For fans of dark fantasy and morally complex heroines. Intended for mature audiences."
Shy in person, feral on the page, & deeply committed to writing stories that refuse to look away.
AJ is the type of person who researches obscure folklore at 2 am and cries for the characters she creates. She follows her autonomy like a religion, believing goth isn’t aesthetic but a way of processing the world. She writes dark fiction and horror because it’s the only genre honest enough to hold what her characters have to say. Her work explores characters of questionable morality while never promising them clean redemption arcs. When she isn’t writing, she’s usually walking her black lab, losing spectacularly at board games with her family, or forming strong opinions about why silence in fiction is underrated.
