In the immense realm of the universe, a rogue planet was forcefully expelled from its original star system due to a supernova event. For countless eons, it wandered through the dark void until it eventually came across a new solar system, where it was captured by the gravitational influence of a sun. In a catastrophic impact, this itinerant planet collided with Tiamat, breaking it into two fragments and dispersing the debris into what would be known as the "Hammered Bracelet"—a ring of rocky remnants orbiting the star.

The rogue planet, now in a stretched 3,600-year orbit, was named Nibiru by the humanoid civilization that developed on its surface over billions of years. As their technology progressed, the Nibirians inadvertently compromised Nibiru's atmospheric radiation protection, leading to severe seasonal changes that jeopardized their survival. To address this, they needed to spread a fine gold dust to seal the atmospheric breach, yet Nibiru did not have enough gold reserves.

During the reign of King Alalu, the desperate Nibirians turned their attention to the Hammered Bracelet, dispatching ships to extract gold from its asteroids and icy planetoids. When these efforts fell short, Alalu resorted to igniting Nibiru's volcanoes to release gases into the atmosphere as a temporary solution. Amidst a power struggle, Alalu's cupbearer, Anu, successfully seized the throne and exiled his predecessor.

Fleeing in a starship, the ousted Alalu discovered a water-abundant planet rich in gold—Tiamat's other half, which he named Earth. With Anu's permission, Anu's sons Enki and Enlil led expeditions of Nibirians, now referred to as the Anunnaki, to extract gold from Earth and transport it back to Nibiru to restore the atmosphere.

As mining operations intensified in the Abzu region, Enki realized that Earth was a living being suffering due to their extraction methods. He attempted to implement new approaches to reduce the damage, but these only exacerbated the harm to Earth's essence. Meanwhile, disgruntled Anunnaki miners and workers on Mars (Lahmu) protested against their harsh working conditions, seeking relief on Earth.

In response, Enki embarked on an ambitious genetic project to create a new race of primitive laborers by combining Anunnaki DNA with that of Earth creatures. Although the initial attempts were flawed, he and his half-sister Ninhursag eventually succeeded in producing fertile human-hybrids to serve their Anunnaki masters. When Enki had two children, Adapa and Titi, with an Earth woman, their exceptional intelligence and beauty marked the emergence of modern humans.

Generations later, Adapa's twin descendants, Ka-in and Aebel, clashed over the advantages of agriculture versus animal husbandry, leading to Ka-in murdering Aebel and facing exile. As the human population flourished under Adapa's guidance, a new peril arose—the periodic return of Nibiru was destabilizing the orbits of the inner planets and causing a catastrophic flood on Earth.

While Enlil ordered that the extermination of humans remain secret as the Anunnaki prepared to escape, Enki discreetly instructed his son Ziusudra to construct an ark to preserve life. When the great flood swept across the planet, Ziusudra's ark weathered the tumultuous waters, allowing him, his family, and the seeds of terrestrial life to endure. Upon landing, Enlil was furious to discover Enki's defiance until Enki persuaded him to recognize the humans as the children of the Anunnaki, deserving of the renewed Earth.

With Enlil's reluctant approval, Ziusudra's descendants were commanded to "multiply and fill the Earth"—the modest beginning of humanity's rule over the planet under the vigilant gaze of their Anunnaki creators.
