The Author, Kato Mukasa is a Commercial Lawyer, an International Entrepreneurship Consultant and Trainer, Poet and Author. He holds a B.A Degree (Economics & Social Administration) from Makerere University among other qualifications. He holds a first-class degree in Law and a Master's Degree in International Commercial Law (With Distinction) at Cavendish University, Uganda. He holds a Post Graduate Diploma in Legal Practice from the Law Development Centre and he is a qualified Advocate in Uganda. He is a certified cyber security expert. Whereas he is a Commercial Lawyer, he is also interested in Human Rights Advocacy.
Until recently, he was the principal of Uganda Institute for Social Work and Management in Kyenjojo District. Kato is the Managing Director of Pearl Vocational Training College.
He has served as the Legal Director of HALEA since 2015. He is former Chair for the African Working Group of the International Humanist Ethical Youth Organisation and past Board Member of IHEU headquartered in London [UK]and Northumberland (MIND) in Newcastle (UK).
He is an international Humanist Leader and has worked on several Atheists rescue cases over the years in collaboration with secular Human Rights Organisations such as Humanists International, Centre For Inquiry, Atheists Alliance International, Humanist Global, International Atheists Alliance, Faithless Hijab and UNHCR amongst others. He has been always there to support people who feel marginalised and disenfranchised by the present obsession with religion.
He is courageous, impassioned, brilliant, engaging and sometimes impolite when pushing for the rights of non-believers. He is against forces that impede human betterment.
