What Brooklyn Gave You That No Other Place Could-The Streets, the People, the Pride and Why It Never Lets You Go.
by Kenneth Carnesi, Sr.
The accent never leaves. Not the literal one, though plenty of people who moved away still have it forty years later and wouldn't trade it for anything. The broader accent. The one that's in how you see the world, how you treat people, what you expect from a neighborhood, a community, and a friend. That accent is Brooklyn, and it's in you for life.
Nobody who grew up in Brooklyn ever fully stops being from Brooklyn. That's not sentiment. That's just the truth. And this book is going to show you exactly why.
Welcome. I hope that you will find my guides interesting and useful
