From the very first pages, I was pulled back into this gentle, imaginative world where kindness isn't just talked about - it's something every character naturally lives out. It's honestly the kind of story that leaves you feeling calmer after you've read it. I loved revisiting the SweetBees, Flutterbys, Fuzzy Buzzys, and Humming Fliers, but the introduction of the fairies added another layer of wonder without taking away from the cozy charm of the earlier books. The hidden tiny homes among the flowers and vines were described so vividly that I could almost picture myself wandering through the garden looking for them. The message about believing, belonging and treating others with kindness came through naturally instead of feeling preachy, which I really appreciated. I actually read this with my young niece, and she kept pointing at the illustrations and asking where she thought the fairies were hiding. Those little moments reminded me why stories like this matter - they encourage imagination while also planting gentle lessons about compassion and friendship. If I had one tiny criticism, it's that I wasn't ready to say goodbye to these characters! I genuinely hope there are more adventures waiting in this magical world. I would happily recommend this book to families, grandparents, teachers and anyone who enjoys beautifully illustrated children's stories with heart. It's a lovely read-aloud that encourages curiosity, kindness, and believing that magic might be hiding just around the corner. ”
Retired CEO who has turned my real GreenHouseSheShed into a series of children's story books that grow kindness and light up little hearts
Partially Inspired by my travel and life experiences as CEO of a global heavy equipment manufacturing company. Upon retirement, I knew I wanted to go back to doing something "creative" that didn't require cranes and huge forklifts to move around! But the real inspiration came to me 6 years ago when I got my GreenHouseSheShed and put it in my 4 acre back yard in Montana just beyond the tall pine trees, in my magical meadow. I also began creating fairy houses from branches, flowers and other woodland items found in the forest and my greenhouse and other places. This all came together when I decided to put down on paper, the magical children's stories that had been circling in my mind for the last 6 years. The stories begin with real little beings living in and around my GreenHouseSheShed, like the majestic buck who watched me mow the meadow, the bumblebees, birds, flowers and other tiny beings living there. Even my grandchildren who help me water the flowers...AND the real bear cub that moved into our Douglas Fir tree and made her home beneath the branches. While she was with us I named her Miss Bluebeary. She is a star character in my books, starting with Book Two: Miss Bluebeary Moves in Next Door. 95% of the illustrations begin with a real photo I took, with an AI program to make them magical. No AI is used in the writings. The books are created to ignite imagination in the children, with the illustrations telling as much of the story as the words. Find something new or hidden on each page each time you look at it! These stories grow kindness and light up little hearts....and big hearts too.
