This limited-release edition of Nate Kid and the Flip Side: Ploodles Paradise marks the first official ChapGraph™ prototype—a bold, genre-bending experiment in storytelling that flips the script on what reading can feel like. Designed to engage reluctant readers and book lovers alike, this early edition serves as both a proof of concept and a heartfelt tribute to the power of imagination, movement, and collaboration.

Nate Kid 1 introduces Nathaniel Ulrich Kid (a.k.a. Nate Kid), an 11-year-old with a mysterious condition known as Hyperthermoflipitis Hypoxia. When his emotions spike, and lactose intollerance kicks in, he flips—literally—into an alternate universe known as the Flip Side. In this inaugural tale, Nate finds himself at a surreal creamery where farm animals poop valuables, cows moo in flip- hop (rap parody) chords, and a quirky half plant, half animal soul guide named Moss helps him discover that reading, movement, and brain activation are all connected in ways no one ever knew.

This special edition is structured in the signature ChapGraph™ format: half chapter book, half upside-down graphic novel. Readers are invited to physically flip the book upside mid-story, activating new parts of the brain while reinforcing comprehension through visual storytelling and motion. Each page has 90 degree summary flip for a truly flip-tastic reading experience.

Provide a bridge between self-publishing innovation and future traditional publishing pathways

It includes illustrations from over 40 contributing artists—many of them children—as well as kinesthetic reading prompts and a hidden literacy code to unlock on every page.

This is not the final version intended for wide release. It is being shared on a limited basis as a proof of concept and sample for select readers and collaborators. A revised version of Nate Kid 1 will follow the completion and professional submission of Book 2 – Kamp Krazy.
