Mark Baker is a cartoonist-illustrator, best known for his comic strip "Pvt Murphy."
Mark Baker is a retired U.S. Army Master Sergeant, former tattoo artist, illustrator, and creator of the popular Pvt. Murphy and Charlie Mike Comix series. Drawing from a lifetime of military service, questionable decisions, creativity, and a love of aviation, Mark creates stories that blend adventure, humor, and resilience. His work is inspired by real-life experiences, the landscapes of Arizona, and a passion for encouraging imagination and learning in readers of all ages. His latest endeavor is the "Spike the Aviator" children’s book series, which follows the adventures of Spike, a flying horned lizard exploring the skies of the American Southwest.
