Emotive Poetry
Emotive Poetry is a collection of poems focused primarily on family and friends that evoke emotion from grief and loss to joy and humor. Drawings that are included with the poetry appear after each poem to help the reader envision the emotion the writer is feeling with the subject or the person. My hope is that the reader will be entertained and enjoy this small collection.

Ranson's Destiny
The year is 2300 and the world is controlled by Artificial Intelligence and a Robot Senate. The protagonist, Ranson Sky, has a successful career as a scientist and falls on hard times. He loses his job because of ageism. This was his career and identity. He eventually finds fulfillment in mentoring a fellow scientist in a revamped career. He rediscovers the very things he has been missing, that of purpose, meaning, and destiny.
Ranson's Destiny comes through alien abduction. Ranson is abducted by aliens called Pauldarians and taken to the planet Zenith outside the Milky Way galaxy. Through superior technology, a fountain of youth serum is discovered and taken by Ranson. Ranson escapes. After he takes the serum and poses as another up-and-coming scientist, he spends five years gaining popularity and identity again.

Reflections of Grief, Loss, and dying
I do know what it is like to lose a family member at a young age from tetanus. My hope with this short story is to convey that remembering loved ones lost is never an exercise in futility. We honor their lives and remind ourselves of the great gift that they gave us by their lives. They live on in our collective memories. We are richer because of what they gave to us.
