Friends to Us

After eighteen years of small-town gossip, awkward church functions, and pretending he totally doesn’t have a crush on the most popular guy in school, Skyler heads off to the prestigious Daedalus Institute determined to reinvent himself. College is supposed to be his chance to come out of his shell, make new friends, and maybe even figure out how to survive Statistics without crying.

There’s just one problem.

At first, Skyler is convinced the universe hates him. Theo is still ridiculously handsome, annoyingly charming, and somehow good at everything. But when a disastrous lab accident forces Skyler and Theo into quarantine together, things get complicated fast. Boredom turns into late-night conversations, gaming sessions, emotional oversharing, and eventually a “totally casual” friends-with-benefits arrangement that is definitely not emotional and absolutely will not end in disaster.

Because catching feelings for your roommate is bad enough. Catching feelings for the golden boy of Deer Tail? That’s catastrophic.
