Leartis Clarence Day Jr. (born 1977 in Youngstown, Ohio) is a multifaceted American writer and poet, renowned for his work Black Culture Blues. As an Army disabled veteran, Day draws from his experiences to craft poignant narratives that reflect the complexities of identity and resilience within the context of Black culture. In addition to his literary pursuits, he is a dedicated substance abuse counselor, working to support individuals in their recovery journeys. Day is also a committed family man, serving as a father, brother, and son, and he often emphasizes the importance of family and community in his writing.
