What Were The Chances?

An elaborate mansion, designer clothes and a well-established financial portfolio provide her with sophistication and glamor she never dared dream possible as a child.
Sylvia Rose never had time to dream of such luxuries when young. With an absentee mother whose moral compass is slightly askew, Sylvia must look for role models elsewhere, as she cares for two younger siblings and the humble shack she calls home.
Having been blessed with two great loves, today finds her alone walking the empty and sterile corridors of her once warm and inviting home.
How fate can change a life so dramatically in six decades boggles her mind.
Does she deserve this comfortable life?

How is it that a small-town country girl lives in the most prestigious neighborhood in the city?
Her now tranquil existence seems undeserved, empty, and without purpose.
Doubting she has paid the dues to live such a grand life, her question will soon be answered as an old debt is about to knock on Sylvia Rose’s front door.
As she opens the door, Sylvia ponders, will today finally bring me the closure I have so desperately sought?

This was a great read!
Really enjoyed reading this book. Had me crying at times, bur also some very uplifting parts. Did not realize part of the book takes place in my hometown, so I could relate to that part very well. That was a nice surprise.

This is written in such an easy to read MS, easy to visualize format that I felt I knew the characters as long time friends and family. So easy to feel their joy, struggles and pain. Watching Sylvia Rose grow from a responsible young girl into a strong nurturing mother and grandmother, from a poor small town girl to a woman of wealth was inspiring.
This is a must read for all. I appreciate the language and discretion with romantic scenes making it appropriate for everyone.
Nice work. I look forward to future works from this author.
