Paula Bunyan is on a mission to introduce young children to the world of the skilled trades.
With a master’s degree in industrial/organizational psychology, Paula spent the first 20+ years of her career studying how people find their fit and use their strengths at work. Over time, one pattern stood out: many of the most empowering and satisfying careers—the skilled trades—are rarely introduced to children when their imaginations are forming.
In her 50s, Paula left the corporate world to change that. After a failed tree-stump removal business (always buy the machine with more power), she now runs her own lawn care company while writing children’s books that help kids discover empowering trades, STEM skills, and the joy of job resilience.
Her mission: Build trade talent, one story at a time.
