Cry Allahu Akbar

(It Could Just Happen)

A military thriller with a sting in the tail ending . A tense thriller held together with a passionate love story.
A diverse group of people set up a community in the Highlands of Scotland. Two of their boys enjoy a friendship whilst wandering the mountains and canoeing the rivers. This all came to an abrupt halt when an act of extreme violence results in one of the young men going to prison and being radicalised by militant Islamists. His friend goes to university and thence is commissioned into the Parachute Regiment. The two young me next meet in the inhospitable Helmand Province in Afghanistan. Their journey become a complex dance of death via Iraq, Syria, and culminates in a massive terrorist attack in London. This is also a powerful story of love and faith where lessons learnt in their boyhood community becomes the roadmap for a country. It takes a female voice to complete this thrilling but important story that may give rise to thoughts of how we all might enjoy a democracy without politicians or political parties. Very much a story for today.
