FRANK FRAZETTA VOLUME TWO STANDARD COLOR EDITION
A SECOND COLLECTION OF HIS EARLY WORKS RETRO COMIC REPRINTS #851
World renowned artist Frank Frazetta (February 9, 1928-May 10, 2010) is famous for his various
fantasy paintings that graced record and magazine covers, paperback books and movie posters. Before
garnering fame as a painter though, Frazetta drew comic books.
Comic book publishers tended not to allow creators to sign their work, preferring to use house names
or not mention creators at all. Some of Frazetta’s Golden Age comic art has been lost in time. This is not
to say that there isn't plenty of Frazetta’s artwork to marvel at prior to his time at E.C. Comics. THE
GOLDEN AGE FRANK FRAZETTA VOLUME TWO starts with his complete THUN'DA #1, and then reprints
his entire run of WHITE INDIAN from the pages of CHARLES STARETT as the DURANGO KID. This volume
also collects all of Frazetta's work from JOHN WAYNE ADVENTURE COMICS and BUSTER CRABBE
COMICS plus a cornucopia of covers, short stories and fillers he also drew.
THE GOLDEN AGE FRANK FRAZETTA series is not a complete collection of all of Frazetta’s early work. It
will feature as many illustrations that are in the public domain we can locate. This book was compiled
with the best images currently available. That stated, these comics are over seventy years old. The best
efforts have been made to make the pages as enjoyable as possible but not every panel is perfect and
some allowances for the age of the books need to be considered when judging the overall contents.
