KID ETERNITY GIANT-SIZE VOLUME ONE STANDARD COLOR EDITION
HIS COMPLETE TALES FROM HIT COMICS #25-60 RETRO COMIC REPRINTS #830
Early in 1942, a teenager called Kid is a passenger on a merchant ship captained by his grandfather,
in the North Atlantic Sea. A Nazi submarine sinks the ship and any survivors are mercilessly
machine gunned in the water. Both Kit Freeman and his grandfather die. When the boy arrives at
the Pearly Gates, the Powers That Be realize that he died in error. They return Kid to Earth but he is
not the same. Kid is neither alive nor dead. When he says “Eternity” he is able to summon famous
and talented people from the past, like George Washington, boxer John Sullivan or even Samson.
Accompanied by Mr. Keeper, an angel, the two combat evil where they find it.
Kid Eternity’s adventures were published by Quality Comics. He first appeared in HIT COMICS #25
and was a front cover feature until issue #60. He also had his own self-titled comic that lasted
eighteen issues. Quality Comics, at that time, employed the talents of some of the best artists in the
industry, many of whom worked on Kid Eternity’s tales. These included Sheldon Moldoff, Al Bryant,
Bill Ward, Ruben Moreira Jill Elgin, Alex Kotzky and Pete Riss.
This book was compiled with the best images currently available. That stated, these comics are over
eighty years old. The story from HIT COMICS #25 is from microfiche and blurrier than preferred. The
best efforts have been made to make the pages as enjoyable as possible but not every panel is
perfect and some allowances for the age of the books need to be considered when judging the
overall contents.
