The Woodmyst Chronicles Book IX
by
The Maji tightens his grip on the land.
His dominion is enforced through brutal and unrelenting power.
His servants, soldiers, and slaves carry out attacks against any who oppose him—leaving blood and ruin in their wake.
Alice intends to break that hold.
She leads an army across the continent, determined to tear down every stronghold that serves the warlock king.
Every queen.
Every warrior.
Every ship that bears the Maji’s banner has become prey.
To win, Alice will use every weapon at her disposal.
Cavalry and infantry from Woodmyst and Newholt.
Warships from the Dendadian navy across the Eastern Sea.
Dragon riders from the realms of the Haigok.
Agrodien warriors who call her Kayl’sro.
The power of earth, sky, death, and life—granted to the sisters of her coven by the gods.
And among them all—her friends and family.
Will these, the weapons of Woodmyst, be enough?

An epic fantasy of war and retribution, where a rising force strikes back and every ally becomes a weapon against a tyrant’s rule.
Dark stories of survival, pressure, and the unseen forces that shape what we become.
From frozen wilderness to isolated towns and hidden facilities, these stories explore what happens when ordinary people are pushed beyond their limits—facing forces that test their will, their morality, and their survival. Robert E Kreig was born in Newcastle, Australia, and grew up in its outer suburbs, where a love of storytelling took root early. From a young age, he was drawn to stories that combined action, adventure, and an undercurrent of fear—stories that asked what people are capable of when tested. As a reader, he was influenced by writers such as J. R. R. Tolkien, Stephen King, Orson Scott Card, Ray Bradbury, and Frank Herbert, later expanding into a wide range of authors across fantasy, thriller, and crime fiction. Across genres, he gravitated toward stories driven by momentum, moral tension, and consequence. Cinema played an equally formative role. Films like Star Wars, King Kong, Jaws, and Jason and the Argonauts helped shape his fascination with mythic scale, looming danger, and the quiet moments before everything goes wrong. These influences came together in his writing, including The Woodmyst Chronicles, a ten-book epic fantasy series, as well as standalone novels such as Long Valley, The Calm Voice, and Pit Guard: The Tanner’s Boy. Across his work, his stories explore survival, pressure, and the human cost of violence—whether the threat comes from monsters, institutions, or the mind itself. Robert currently lives in Canberra, Australia, where he continues to write stories exploring the limits of endurance, choice, and consequence.
