Savhol Family Sagas
by
Lieutenant Nicholas Savhol expected a quiet night of paperwork.
Instead, he finds a corpse in the home of Loretta Wilston.
What should be a straightforward homicide quickly becomes anything but. Strange connections emerge. Old investigations resurface. People around the case seem to know more than they're saying.
Most unsettling of all is Loretta herself.
Intelligent, compassionate and impossible to ignore, she draws Nick into a world he doesn't fully understand, even as he works his way through the evidence in front of him.
Some mysteries are solved by asking the right questions.
Others change the person asking them.
Boons of Command
“No fucking way is Dina ever going to visit Rudolph!” grumbled Gerald out loud even though the message had reached him through a telepath.
“What are you on about dearest?” asked Hans.
“Not even the Consortia can keep Dina to her fucking self!” replied Gerald in a huff.
Hans stepped up and held a cheek to which Gerald fumed for a second, but let his bluster dissipate. Hans rewarded his lover with a soft kiss. “Do you feel better?”
“No,” said Gerald taking a deeper kiss of his own. “We shall have to make an early night of it so I might be able to attempt... some semblance of feeling better.”
“At your pleasure my dearest.”
“But first, there needs to be something we can do to keep Geraldine at bay,” said Gerald still in a huff.
“Maybe you should just let her at him. The boys will need to learn how to deal with her eventually. I doubt she'll grace us with an early exit, would be unprecedented in your linage especially,” Hans said in his most soothing voice.
Gerald rolled his eyes at the truth. “I don't like it my love. She's going to put them in danger, my body revolts every time we have to deal with her.”
Hans had his own truth sense vibrating as well, “I know, but every other solution we've attempted has only caused us the perk of getting more time with her on the phone.”
Gerald started to pace. Nothing was alleviating this stalemate and the more he considered it, the less his brain wished to function. 'How would Sam solve it?' he thought even though this made his gut clench and stopped his pacing. He bowed slightly with the pain.
“You're thinking of him again.”
“Don't...” replied Gerald weakly.
“I'm not, you are and if we have this fight again I'll leave,” said Hans.
“No...” whimpered Gerald, now using the back of a chair for support.
Hans stepped up and cradled Gerald's face in hands so tender it made Gerald weak. The kiss was sweet and luscious and neither wanted to stop. Breathing, however, was somewhat important so they did, for now.
“We don't have anything pressing for today. Take me to bed,” said Hans.
Gerald was in tears caused by the deepest love, the deepest longing and the deepest, darkest loathing. This propelled him to lead Hans into an office he'd once swore would never be used again, located just a few steps away.

I saw a quote, 'You'll be someone's favorite author some day.' I already am, but that's not what I want. Let's promote the connections within. These books don't need to be your favorite to have made a difference in your life. Don't have to be the best written to earn a crazy amount of money. For me, what I want is fans to whom I can say a line from a book and the image of the character enters their head and they smile, maybe bust out laughing. "Yeah, that was a good one." they say and I know I've done my job well. Not flawlessly, not epically, just notable enough to change one more person's viewpoint in a positive direction. It's what twenty or so authors did for me and hold a place in my heart for doing it. ~Lorna B, Author of the Loretta Savhol series. https://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=61566887807399 I wrote half a million words after my car was beaten to death working ride share.
