Dr. Sharon M. Jones, PhD, is an Associate Marriage and Family Therapist, Christian Counselor, Master-Certified Life coach, mentor, motivational speaker, and advisor. She is the founder and executive director of New Insight 2 Life Coaching, Counseling, LLC, a global social media platform and faith-based Tele-counseling service. She serves as a vital part of ministry leadership in various local, state, and international roles. She is the executive director of New Insight Family Support Services, a 501c (3) - non-profit organization that provides community support services for minority families and disadvantaged youth. She is a musician/singer and has recorded 2 Contemporary Christian CDs. She was born in Jamaica, West Indies, and raised in England, the USA and Africa. Dr. Jones has been married for 39 years. She and her husband are parents to 4 adult children and 6 grandchildren. In her past ministry roles, she has served as Healthy Minds ministry director on a state and local church level, Minister of Music & Choir director, Young Adult Ministries leader, Couples Sunday school teacher, Young People Willing Worker president & Assistant Young Women Christian Counsel director on a local & state level. Dr. Jones earned her BA in Maternal Child Health and worked in private practice as a licensed International Board-Certified Lactation Consultant, workshop presenter, and parenting educator. She earned her dual MA Degrees in counseling psychology with a focus on marriage family therapy, forensic psychology, and a certification in pastoral counseling. She earned her PhD. Doctoral degree in Interdisciplinary Studies & Social Justice in higher educational leadership" with a focus on Compound trauma and its interruptive impact on attaining positive life goals and higher educational achievements for inner city, disadvantaged minority youth. She is developing a family wellness clinic in Jamaica that will serve 69,000+ individuals and was named after her great grandmother who had a vision for building a children’s clinic in Jamaica to meet the needs of her local community. For fun, she enjoys family, traveling, cooking, writing, singing, classic movies, and crossword puzzles.
