Hi, I’m E.D. Lucas, a romance author and the founder of StoryGarden Books, an online bookstore devoted to stories that stay with you. I write character driven love stories that lean into emotion, connection, and the quiet moments that shape who we are. My debut novel, For the Love of Fame, is about two young men who fall in love before the world ever knows their names. It’s a story about private connection, public pressure, and the intensity of love when it finds you fast and changes everything. I started writing it years ago, never expecting it would one day become something I’d share, and now, I can’t imagine not telling it. I began writing seriously after losing my husband, and For the Love of Fame became the story that helped me explore love, grief, identity, and the quiet strength it takes to grow as an individual. It’s a book rooted in hope, vulnerability, and the kind of connection that shapes us in ways we don’t always expect. I live with my mini Australian Shepherd, Freya, and a few wonderful cats, Mouse, Rascal, and Loki. When I’m not writing, I’m working my regular 9-to-5 job, painting, or spending time with my pets. I’ve always been drawn to stories that feel real, honest, emotional, sometimes complicated, and that’s exactly what I try to bring to the page.
