Lead with courage. Act with clarity. And build the business—and life—you were meant for.
I believe you can transform your business by changing the quality of your thinking. Let me share how to do just that.
I joined the Royal Australian Navy in March 1981 as a recruit Electrical Technical sailor. Over the years, I was commissioned and learned Seamanship (ship driving) and Navigation. Then came a specialist career in Information Technology. I was busy, happy and on the move. The Navy taught me many things, including the importance and influence of clear and helpful leadership, insightful coaching and achieving milestones that lead to the realisation of extraordinary business outcomes. I retired from the Navy in 2001 following a 20-year career. Information Technology Service Delivery and Project Management seemed to be the next obvious career choice and for a further 20 years I worked in consulting and various permanent roles within the Australian Public Service, Private and Not-For-Profit Sectors. I have owned several companies and been on the management boards for many and varied organisations. I passionately believe in the potential that lies within you and that, if we are open to adjusting our mind-set by renewing the way we think, we will dramatically increase our freedom to succeed. As a coach, you don’t need to know more than the person you are coaching, you just need faith in the process. You need to know that people can achieve their goals if they put their mind to it and you need to be ready to ask the right questions, encourage results (whether good or bad) and keep the person accountable to achieving their goal.
Lead your business in the right direction with practical wisdom and actionable strategies.
