Twin Lakes

If you could see into the future would there be anything there?

In the shadow of World War II, a brilliant German scientist defects to the United States with the help of a covert OSS agent and a U.S. Army lieutenant. What they protect is more dangerous than any weapon: AVD-1, a machine capable of bending time. To keep it hidden from governments and enemies alike, the device and its creator are erased from history and sealed away deep within the isolated and majestic Sierra Nevada Mountains. Forgotten. Hidden in the past.
Decades later, Daryl, a grieving widower, unknowingly steps into the secret when he discovers the island in the middle of his lake is concealed by an alternate time. As the past and future begin to bleed into the present, reality destabilizes.
April, the scientist’s granddaughter, whose life has been quietly shaped by secrets, helps Daryl embrace his new reality. Collectively, as time zones collide, they realize the machine is no longer hidden. German operatives and the CIA are closing in, each with their own agenda.
With time accelerating toward collapse, Daryl and April race to help the scientist shut down AVD-1 before the damage becomes irreversible – but someone has to stay behind to shut it down and no-one knows what will happen to that someone.
In a shocking twist ending, Daryl and April discover that time has another hidden secret.
