About The Book

About Digital Warriors...

This guide for teenagers and parents addresses the challenges of becoming a man in today's rapidly-changing world. In the light of the Netflix Series Adolescence (about the sometimes devastating effects of incel culture and the manosphere on our young men), this book offers practical advice and exercises designed to combat harmful stereotypes and foster true self-confidence, emotional intelligence and supportive inter-generational relationships.

To the teenagers looking for answers, tips and info: this book will help you become the best version of yourself as you learn practical strategies to conquer fears and increase your confidence.

To the parents wanting the best for their sons: you will gain insights into your son's world, deepen your understanding of some of the pressures he experiences and develop strategies to bridge the generational divide.

Digital Warriors engages with topics such as:

- harmful male stereotypes, incel culture & the manosphere
- sleep hygiene
- consent
- nutrition & hydration for peak physical & mental performance during adolescence
- establishing digital boundaries that work for everyone
- cyberbullying & digital security
- dealing with anxiety, stress and FOMO
- sex, porn and the realities of getting to know one another
- future-proofing your digital footprint

Digital Warriors will help you to learn new skills, appreciate different perspectives and grow together. When approached with empathy and an open mind, the exercises will help you gain clarity, resilience and empathy in addition to providing a valuable framework for bridging the inter-generational divide.

“Digital Warriors is a very well-written self-help book. [Lucy Berry] takes on modern-day issues that affect our teenage sons [and] tackles issues like mental health, puberty, proper sleep, good nutrition, screen time, cyberbullying, pornography, and so many issues I dare not list them all here. [She] provides a guided set of questions for us to work through with our teenagers [which] helps us to open up to each other and share each other's views.[...] I liked how she used real stories to make her point. I give it a 4 out of 5.”

I'm a school teacher & youth mentor, based in the UK. Digital Warriors is my first book.

Having spent two decades working with teenagers in schools and through various youth organisations, Lucy brings real-world experience to helping young people navigate the challenges of adolescence. Her passion for supporting adolescent development was sparked by her journey as a parent and teacher, leading her to create resources that bridge the communication gap between generations and address modern challenges facing today's youth.  Lucy is also a qualified yoga instructor, and in her spare time she loves gardening, inventing recipes, reading and walking her dog.
