Revelation

by www.simonklapishauthor.com.au

A world suddenly awakes to the death of its entire Muslim population (REMOVAL); versus a world awakening to the survival of only the Muslim population (REVELATION). How will each new world react to the loss of 1.7 or 6.3 billion people overnight? Are these God-events or man-made, and will there now be world peace, or chaos?

REVELATION
The atmosphere in the streets was odd, and many people were crying and looking to the heavens, kneeling on prayer mats, beseeching Allah, thanking Him, asking for signs. However, their actions were not in fear but thankfulness. What was going on?
‘What is happening?’ Ali asked an old man nearby who was smiling but also had tears running freely down his face.
‘Allah has delivered us. The infidels are all dead. He took them away during the khamsin. All of them died in their sleep,’ he said, wonder clear in his voice.
‘Are you sure? All of them?’
‘Yes, the army and police have checked. Every infidel in this land has been taken by Allah; maybe all over the world too.’
Ali stared at the man, looked around at the scenes of joy, and wondered if the people were crazy.

For 15-year-old Charlie, in northern England, the deaths of his neighbours, friends, and way of life hit hard. But not as hard as the loss of his girlfriend, football team, internet, television, and school life. It was all very well for the four million Muslim population of the UK to own the wealth of the nation, but there were too few people left alive to run the country. What kind of a life was this going to be, and especially for his non-devout family?
But in India, Ex-General and now President of India, Sabal Kalil, and his Pakistani counterpart, Ghulam Asif, come to a power-sharing deal that is breathtaking in its scale and vision. For them it is time to consolidate their opportunity to become the new superpower in the world, no matter what the new Caliphate of Mecca decrees, or how Indonesia-Malaysia expands its territory. Opportunity only knocks once, and for Kalil, even his allies will be surprised by his ambitions.

CRITICAL REVIEW:
“I have never read a better plot concept. It is an incredibly thoughtful novel, and I was constantly floored by the insight in it. Almost seemed like if it was rephrased it could be the starting point for a PhD Thesis in Social Science!! The concept reminded me of some senior management training I was subjected to 25 years ago when we were presented every hour with a very far out scenario and one hour to suggest the ramifications.
I was absolutely impressed by the background knowledge on World Affairs and all that expands out from that. The way in which that feed into the plot concept is brilliant. All the characters are believable.
The Geopolitical sub-plot was great, and realistic and there was good thought about the great power struggle that ensued initially, and later.”

A God Dilemma Chronicle

A world suddenly awakes to the death of its entire Muslim population (REMOVAL); versus a world awakening to the survival of only the Muslim population (REVELATION). REMOVAL
‘Mr President, we have been getting reports from all over the world, that there is something horrendous and unprecedented occurring, that we can’t explain. The information has been spreading via social media, and every global news station, despite major disruptions and transmission delays. We thought it was a hoax, some viral attack, and we frankly didn’t believe it, with lots of social media outlets being accused of some outrageous scam, but…’ she hesitated.
‘Just tell me, don’t paraphrase it. What the hell has you two so agitated?’
‘Mr President, as ridiculous and awful as this may sound to you, we believe there’s been a mass death of all Muslims in the world...’

So begins a new era for the remaining population and religions. But peace and prosperity prove elusive as the survivors seek answers to the tragedy. Suspicion, greed, fear, religious rivalry and competition for supremacy create havoc, outweighing the supposed ‘benefits’ of a decreased world population and increased spiritual belief.
When a second phase of Removals occurs, Duncan Sinclair, the President’s National Security Advisor, is tasked with investigating these phenomena before a third wave occurs, whilst the world simmers on the brink.
