Jonah is one of the better known Old Testament prophets, but he is not generally well known for his faithfulness; he is most well known for his disobedience to the calling of the Lord and the resulting judgment which led to him enduring three days and nights in the belly of a great fish. His unique experiences, his hardened attitude toward people he hated, and his anger toward God provide the background for this look at his prayers. While his prayers may not be "model" prayers for us to follow, they do give us some valuable insight into what prayer can and should be in the life of a believer. May God bless all who read this book.

Learning For All
Lenses for Teaching: Learning for All challenges educators to look beyond labels, behaviors, and traditional assumptions about how students learn. Drawing on more than three decades of experience in classrooms, leadership, and teacher education, Dr. Deborah Goodwin combines personal stories, research, and practical strategies to help teachers recognize learner differences and create meaningful pathways to success. At its heart is a simple belief: different is not deficient—and when we change the way we see learners, we change what becomes possible for them.
A Memoir of Personal, Spiritual and Professional Growth
Sometimes the clearest view of our lives comes only when we look back through a different lens.
In Lenses for Life, Dr. Deborah Goodwin shares a deeply personal journey through childhood, family, faith, hardship, forgiveness, love, and unexpected growth. With warmth and candor, she reflects on the experiences that shaped her and the people who helped change the way she saw herself, others, and God.
This is more than the story of where she has been. It is a story of discovering that even the difficult pieces of a life can become part of something meaningful.
