The Others
by Brenda Colbath
Ty and Robin signed up for this trip to secure a college education guarantee for Ruby and Nolan. They planned for it to be the adventure of a lifetime.
How could something so good go so wrong and so right?
Everyone relaxed when they discovered the “Yeti” kidnappers were humans in white fur suits. The captives were flown to the southern continent on flying cars, and again, rooms and clothes were supplied. They were treated like guests!
Ruby discovered “the Amusement Park,” and the kids were invited to dinner after an exhausting day of swimming, playing in the game room, and sliding down a 50-foot water slide, with Donzereli flying them to the top for hours.
When the parents discovered the kids were kidnapped, they were prepared to negotiate the release of their children, peaceably or by force, if necessary!
The youngsters were having so much fun that they hoped it would take days to rescue them! Darn, the others were so anxious to make friends that they welcomed the parents for a visit and took their kids home.
I am a dreamer! I love to share my dreams and nightmares!
Creating worlds and characters and wielding power like a madwoman makes my characters happy, sad, angry, and sometimes have no redeeming qualities. I laugh aloud when writing a scene, and I have been known to cry when one of my favorites dies. I am a left-handed Gemini; what did you expect?
