Chronicle of the 12th Realm : Book 4

KRESPAH

Earth has never seen so much interest; every hotel room is taken and there are hundreds of ships in orbit. Over a million people, most of whom have never seen Earth before, have made the trek to the week-long event – the birthplace of the human race is now longer just a foot note in history. This renewed interest is all because of the discovery of an ancient automobile collection, hidden for almost a millennium, deep in the old bunker on the Abraham compound. This discovery has seen the start of a new venture and, with the full support of Earth’s governing council, the known galaxy will witness the first car race seen in a thousand years.
However, on a distant outlying colony, Utopia, a bizarre situation may enmesh the Coalition in a new conflict. A vague report of an uprising on the planet, rumours of massive loss of life; a force of 400 marines was deployed in a rescue operation. The mission was a disaster and only one combat marine, Colonel Andrew Molinar, survives. The experience has left him broken and psychotic. Intel suggests this is not just some random action, but is linked to the planet Varga and the “Queen in Waiting” prophesy.
An ancient evil cult, “Krespah”, once the rulers of Varga, have used Utopia as a testing ground for a new weapon, one that could enslave the entire 12th Realm. The reports also link events to Petra Abraham, thus implicating Jason, her father-in-law and President of the Coalition. To find the truth, Petra must confront her past and discover who she really is.
From a celebration on earth, to the mystical realms of the “Oracle”, to the desolation on the planet Raslor, Petra and Aaron must confront ultimate evil head on. Survival is not optional – it is imperative.

About the Book

Nostalgia - can be a driving force. In the 30th century, the Abraham family is one of the wealthiest in the galaxy, but it is not without some skeletons, and idiosyncrasies. One is that all first born males must have the initials JT, to inherit, the other is JT Abraham 2nd. He is considered eccentric, some say he was crazy, but his time, the mid 22nd century was a time of massive planet wide rebellion, too many people and too little resources. His answer, during a very dangerous time of civil war, was to construct a massive underground bunker, one that could house his family and his company, if needed. He was also a compulsive collector, he collected ancient automobiles, some say his collection was huge but, until now, was just part of his legend.
Fast forward to today, at the end of the 30th century, and we see the Abraham boys holding the first motorsport event in almost a thousand, and this is where nostalgia bites.
Until now, Earth was an afterthought, yes it is the home of the human race, but it is so far from the colonies, that almost no-one visits, but this week over a million people have made the trek to the ancient planet for the event, more than have come to the birth place of the human race in over a century. Everyone is happy, the Earth Governing Council is thrilled with all the attention. Hospitality operators are counting the profit, BUT, elsewhere in the galaxy events are taking place, events that could see the entire human race enslaved by an ancient and evil cult, Krespah.
Once again Petra and Aaron must lead the charge but just when they think they have things under control, they are betrayed and sent to Raslor, a planet that does not show on any astronomical chart. If they don't survive, the human race may not either.
Krespah is about love, hate, revenge and family. Action and intrigue follow each word.

“Whether you’re a longtime fan or a newcomer to the series, diving into Greg Mutton’s KRESPAH Book 4: Chronicle of the 12th Realm feels like stepping directly into the heart of a sprawling, high-stakes family saga. Mutton continues the journey of the Abraham clan—first introduced in Book 1, Reunion—as they navigate the complex socio-political landscape of a new universe teeming with diverse species and unforeseen challenges. In this fourth instalment, Mutton masterfully blends the futuristic with the familiar. He introduces a wave of "Old Earth nostalgia" that sweeps across the stars, proving that even in the far reaches of the 12th Realm, the charm of our home planet remains a powerful force. However, the levity of Earth's cultural revival is quickly shadowed by a chilling new threat. Colonel Drew Mollinar, an old colleague of JT Abraham, emerges as the haunted sole survivor of a 400-soldier massacre. The horrific details of that battle—and the terrifying entities Mollinar claims to have seen—suggest a danger unlike anything the universe has faced before. What sets the Chronicle of the 12th Realm series apart is Mutton’s ability to balance disparate tones without losing the narrative thread. The book is a rich cocktail of witty humour, technical precision, and genuine tenderness. To truly appreciate the depth of this universe, I recommend starting with Book 1. By the time you reach Book 4, the "full flavour" of Mutton’s vision will have completely taken hold. For avid fans of space opera and intricate family chronicles, KRESPAH Book 4: Chronicle of the 12th Realm is a journey well worth taking. It is a series that seeps into your mind and soul, delivered with a voice that is uniquely Greg Mutton. ”

“Greg Mutton’s KRESPAH is a masterpiece of escapism, adventure and entertainment. Set in the year 3003, it offers hope for the future. A future society which FINALLY has understood that our history of tragedies is there to learn from. Not to repeat. A simple concept, but nonetheless a poignant one considering the profound inability of our current timeline to do so. You become immersed in a united world free from the uninterrupted cycle of media fuelled fear, outrage and division. A world no longer hostage to the corruption and greed of oil, pharmaceutical and weapon conglomerates. Its enemies are in the interstellar realm, now accessible due to its advanced wormhole technology which, as an author and engineer, Greg effortlessly articulates to the layman the wondrous future that may well await humanity, exploring and living on beautiful interstellar planets many already inhabited with advanced alien civilisations. Civilisations that have been discreetly observing us for thousands of years. The story kicks off like a roller coaster. You just know, from the first page, it’s all about to happen. The characters are believable, heroic, and represent the best of the best in their specialist roles. You genuinely want to learn and understand more about them. The plot is fast paced and magically delivers the excitement needed to turn that next page. The master wordsmith offers a unique package of romance, friendship, loyalty, stoicism, adrenaline, courage and wonder. BUCKLE UP! In conclusion, I guarantee it’s a matter of when, not if, this book will be transformed into a full-length feature film. I will be first in line. ”

Greg Mutton

I live in Australia in a quiet bayside village and I write Sci Fi adventure stories.

I live on the mid north coast of New South Wales, Australia in a quiet bayside village with my wife, son and 3 cats.
My stories are about people who rise to the challenge, all with a distinct “Aussie” flavour. No matter how advanced we become, no matter what technology we invent, human beings will always define their existence by their actions, both individually and collectively. My stories explore the real physical and metaphysical abilities people have, but may have forgotten over the ages. Action features in all my stories. I use examples from life – emotions, love, despair, romance – all are infused into the characters and plots. I build worlds and civilisations that are “real” and credible.
As an author, I enjoy using literary license to create stories and worlds, including alien species, and possible future technologies. As one of the greats of Science Fiction once said “whatever man can imagine, he will eventually do.”
