“The Anointing” is a current very popular buzz-word discussed in religious circles sometimes with little or no personal experience in the anointing’s operation or function.
This course will provide you with definition and usage in both the Old and New Testament. We will also believe for the impartation by the Holy Spirit for application in your Christian life.
“The Anointing” is a widely used term in Christian circles, yet for many believers it remains mysterious—something reserved for a few “special” people. Others speak the language of revival and power, yet lack the encounter, revelation, and transformation that true anointing brings. The Church does not need more “Christianese.” It needs the authentic power of God made visible in His people.
In these pages, we will reveal the purpose and power of the anointing from Genesis to Revelation. We will behold the anointing upon Jesus—the Anointed One—and recognize Him as our pattern, our model, and our invitation into a supernatural life. We will discover the different ways people may be anointed—from the inner anointing that abides in every believer, to specific anointings in individuals for special assignments for ministry, and even the corporate anointing that ushers in visible, tangible demonstrations of God’s glory.
We will also confront the reality that there are measures, dimensions, and realms of anointing—and that it can be increased, carried, and released for the advancement of His Kingdom. These truths are not mere theory. They are grounded in Scripture and verified through testimony, experience, and the enduring faithfulness of God.
My prayer is that the Holy Spirit ignites in you an unquenchable hunger for His presence—so fierce that every lesser desire fades. May you become a carrier of His anointing for the glory of Jesus Christ, fully awakened, fully empowered, and fully yielded to be used by God in this final hour.

Jim was Born-again in July of 1975 and filled with the Holy Spirit in May of 1978. In 1982-84, he completed the 2-year course at Rhema Bible Training Center in Oklahoma and has pastored in Minnesota, South Dakota and Colorado for 16 years. In 1996, Jim moved to Denver, CO to co-found an accredited, affiliate campus of Vision Christian Bible College. Jim has a BA in Biblical Studies and a Masters in Theology. At the college, he was Dean of Students/Professor for 3 years where he loved to teach/equip the students in the Word of God and His ministry gifts. In 1997, Jim founded New Life Ministries from which he began his itinerate ministry across the US, including over 30 international trips to France, Canada, Mexico, Brazil, Vietnam, China, Slovenia, Croatia, Austria, Costa Rica, England, Kenya and Peru. Every time, he has seen God confirm His Word with “signs and wonders following” (Mk 16:20). Jesus is the whole reason any of us are alive but especially in Jim’s case, Jesus is the “sole” reason why he is still alive today. When Jim was 15 years old, he contracted spinal meningitis and after 5 days in a “coma”, the doctors gave him a 50/50 chance to live through the night. Even if he did survive, he would be like a “vegetable” from the high 106 degree fever and the effect of the disease. Without knowing Jesus personally as his Savior, his spirit left his body and descended into the darkness of Hell. It was the most terrifying night of his life experiencing the horrors of hell. Later, Jesus literally came and touched Jim, revealed a part of Heaven and God’s plan for his life. It was the healing touch of the Master that saved him…His precious name is Jesus!! Since Jim accepted Jesus as his personal Savior, he has been blessed to have personally seen the miraculous power of God displayed in his own life as well as those he has prayed for. Along with the miracle of the New Birth in previous outreaches and services, God has also given sight to the blind, deaf ears were opened, cancer, gall stones, cataracts, and tumors have disappeared! Having personally experienced God’s healing touch, Jim believes it is God’s perfect will for you to be healed, delivered and set free from all the bondages and attacks of the enemy according to His Word in Luke 4:18 and Acts 10:38.
