A Domestic Thriller

The Light in the Barn

by Susan P. Baker

Aurora’s peaceful life is upended when a mysterious light in her barn coincides with a string of murders targeting women her age in her community. She begins to fear that someone close to her may be responsible for the crimes.

About The Book

Aurora’s life seems nearly flawless. She’s supported by a devoted husband who stands by her through every hardship. After relocating to her childhood town, she is presented with the opportunity to renovate the house she inherited. Surrounded by both new acquaintances and lifelong friends, Aurora enjoys a sense of belonging and community. She also finds purpose and satisfaction in her volunteer work at the local animal shelter, where she cares deeply for the animals entrusted to her.
However, Aurora’s sense of security is shattered one night when an unusual noise rouses her from sleep, quickly followed by the sight of a mysterious light coming from inside the barn. This unsettling incident signals the beginning of a frightening chapter in her life. A series of murders targeting women her age has shaken the community, with the killer’s latest crime occurring dangerously close to Aurora’s own home. She is left to wonder if someone she knows from her new circle could be responsible for these horrific acts. And whether the killer was behind the light in her barn.
