A Novel of Suspense
by Susan P. Baker
Attorney Dena Armstrong wants to break out from the control of the two men dominating her life, unaware that a stranger has other plans for her.
Fearing for her life, a young woman seeks a lawyer to get her divorced before her violent husband kills her.
Dena, the lawyer, has plans of her own, to break free of the two controlling men in her life.
Once the suit is filed, unbeknownst to either woman, the client’s husband targets both of them. The client has a police officer brother to protect her.
Dena has no one.
Unaware of the danger, Dena continues practicing law and taking care of her kids until she can put her plan in place. Then one day when Dena’s husband is out of town, a man is lurking in her garage, waiting until she and the kids go to bed.
Being a Texas girl, Dena has a gun. Will she be able to reach it before the stranger reaches her?
“ I really enjoyed this book, especially since it takes place in my hometown of Galveston. After I finished reading the book I drove around Galveston to many of the locations mentioned in the book. Now that was cool. Susan P. Baker has made my quiet hometown of Galveston into a very suspenseful place. I hope there is a sequel or a continuing series for this book.”
