Meekatron

by Lola Rhodes

Meeka Van Leeuwen was born into peculiar circumstances, with uncaring parents and a remarkable ability to achieve despite life’s misfortunes; these challenging events shaped Meeka into the woman she is today. However, her ongoing journey was not always an easy one.

About The Book

As Meeka’s youth progressed towards adulthood, she found herself thrust into situations no child should ever have to face. Her ultimate turning point came when she was unexpectedly forced to defend herself, which in turn resulted in her having to kill her aggressor. This first kill was quite shocking; nonetheless, it was a transformative moment for Meeka. The result was an awakening, something deep and dark inside her, something primal, an insatiable need to repeat the kill.

Driven by her newfound sense of power and control, Meeka began to relish the hunt. What started as a desperate act of self-defence soon evolved into a dark and consuming passion.

Part 1

by Lola Rhodes

Imagine, for a second, if, instead of making choices for oneself, every critical step and direction of our young, impressionable lives had been determined by a series of uncontrollable, irreversible events. What It's Like To Be A Girl

Part 2

by Lola Rhodes

Is she a boy? Is she a girl? Of course, that’s just one of the thousands of questions I'm sure we’d all like to know. I hate to think what you’re going to make of this?

What did happen to little John Reuben? It’s a name rarely spoken of anymore.

No one asked what gender Madelene assumed; it was always assumed, even by her peers. And, of course, what I’d personally like to know is how she made it through such a unique transition without assistance.

Still, I do know one thing: there’s only one way to find out!

What It's Like To Be A Girl

Part 3

by Lola Rhodes

We rejoin our story once more in the spring of 1984.

Madelene was happy then, knowing that all the secrets regarding her exact identity had been well and truly buried. The only unresolved area of concern regarding the simulated murder of John Reuben was the lawyer who administrated her present position. How? Well, you may well ask! It’s a long story, so unless you’ve read my previous two books regarding what happened to Madelene before this day, I’m afraid it’s just something you’ll have to take my word for.

I remember those days when life was full of ambition and there were more hormones per square inch running around our bodies than molecules of common sense. And you’re right, though; some of the wildest and most unexpected experiences happened during those times.

Your world consists of nothing more than the instructions your imagination had to offer, accompanied only by the daily observations and assumptions one makes to define a solution.
