Anne of Green Gables - Early Reader Edition for 7-12 year-olds
by DAVID O. HARRISON
Fall in love with the girl who changed Avonlea forever in this beautifully curated new edition of Anne of Green Gables.
This book is an Early Reader version of Anne of Green Gables, adapted directly from the original edition for 7 to 12-year-olds, with 12-point type, 1.15-inch line spacing, and a font chosen for enhanced readability (283 pages). Also available from Thrive! Books is the original for adults and children 12+.
After a recent visit to Cavendish on Prince Edward Island, the real-life inspiration for the fictional Avonlea created by Lucy Maud Montgomery, it’s impossible not to be moved by the beauty of the countryside and imagine yourself in the settings described in her book. My wife pointed out that the original Anne of Green Gables is almost like a 'sacred text.' As I read it for the first time, I was struck again by how much language has evolved over the past century, making it more challenging for young readers today to fully grasp. I hope my adaptation stays true to the essence of the original, that none of the original magic of Green Gables is lost and that Matthew Cuthbert would approve.
Example:
Original: Marilla came briskly forward as Matthew opened the door. But when her eyes fell on the odd little figure in the stiff, ugly dress, with the long braids of red hair and the eager, luminous eyes, she stopped short in amazement.
“Matthew Cuthbert, who’s that?” she ejaculated. “Where is the boy?”
Early Reader: When Matthew opened the door, Marilla came in quickly. But when she saw the little girl with red hair, she stopped, looking surprised.
“Matthew, who is this?” she asked. “Where is the boy?”
Anne of Green Gables, written by Canadian author Lucy Maud Montgomery and first published in 1908, is a beloved coming-of-age novel set in the picturesque village of Avonlea on Prince Edward Island. The story follows Anne Shirley, an imaginative, spirited, and talkative orphan who is mistakenly sent to live with Marilla and Matthew Cuthbert, a middle-aged brother and sister who had intended to adopt a boy to help with their farm.
Anne, with her bright red hair, sharp wit, and knack for getting into trouble, initially surprises the practical and no-nonsense Marilla. But over time, Anne's boundless imagination, sensitivity, and unrelenting optimism begin to charm the entire community. The novel traces Anne’s growth from a dreamy, impulsive child into a thoughtful and determined young woman, while exploring themes of belonging, friendship, identity, and the importance of home.
The vivid descriptions of rural life, Anne's heartwarming relationships, and her humorous mishaps have made Anne of Green Gables a classic of children's literature. The novel remains a timeless celebration of individuality, kindness, and resilience, resonating with readers of all ages and inspiring numerous adaptations in film, television, and stage productions.

Fresh Start — Returning to New Testament Normal
A 'How-to' Guide for the Church
In Fresh Start, Amazon bestselling author David O. Harrison addresses the "quiet collapse" of the modern institution. For too long, we have settled for organizational bloating, institutional routine, and programs that run just fine without a whisper of prayer. We have traded the "fire in the bones" of the early Church for lukewarm lemonade and superficial smiles.
It is time to return to New Testament Normal. This isn't a call to return to "sandals and scrolls," but to the priorities that once lit up the world: a Church powered by the Holy Spirit, marked by radical love, and defined by simple, quiet obedience
Module 1: Orientation – Preparing the heart through the "IF" invitations of God.
Module 2: Perspective – Diagnosing why churches fail and identifying the "Me-Centred" trap.
Module 3: The Living Body – Unleashing "Grace Gifts" and reclaiming the shepherding heart of Pastor Jesus.
Module 4: The Pathway – A roadmap for renewal, moving from routine to "Whooping, Hollering, and Dancing".
About the Author: David O. Harrison is a best-selling author known for "translating" the library of C.S. Lewis into everyday English 14. After reaching millions through Bus Stop Bible Studies, he now turns his attention to the most important mission of all: helping the Bride of Christ recapture her simplicity, clarity, and vitality.

Otha Turnbough once asked a room full of ministers, “If you had to leave your church and Jesus Himself pastored it for three months, what would be different when you came back?”
The answer was immediate:
“Everything!”
He paused.
“If Jesus would change everything… why aren’t you changing anything?”
In a world where ‘normal’ often equates to compromise and complacency, many Christians find themselves caught between cultural conformity and a longing for authentic faith. In FRESH START, author David Harrison challenges readers to abandon the status quo and embrace a life that reflects the radical teachings of Jesus—as He lived them out. A simple, practical shift of focusing on the 41 proactive 'do’s' among Jesus’ 49 commands, the 8 'don’ts' naturally take care of themselves."
Harrison argues that the modern church has too often settled for a version of Christianity that is comfortable and culturally acceptable but far removed from the transformative power of the Gospel. He invites readers to rediscover the vibrant, countercultural faith of the New Testament—a faith that is anything but bland when compared to the life Jesus calls us to live.
Through personal stories, biblical insights, and practical applications, FRESH START explores what it means to live with purpose, integrity, and passion. Harrison lays out a roadmap to a faith that is both deeply rooted and dynamically lived out.
For each chapter, there are six group study questions crafted to press deeply into each theme—questions that will refuse to stay on the surface and challenge you, the reader, to imagine a church that is truly everything Jesus intends it to be. Nothing is off the table.
With a business background and a passion for sharing messages of hope, David's journey from England to Canada, and his own transformative faith experience, enrich his storytelling and led him to author a number of his own faith-based books. In 2006, David founded Bus Stop Bible Studies, a unique ministry spreading encouragement through public transit ads to millions of commuters across Canada. Now, in their retirement, David and his wife host a charming bed-and-breakfast in Muskoka, where David enjoys his new hobby of book writing—unexpectedly achieving three Amazon No. 1 best-sellers.
The author’s most notable projects include Mere Christianity in Everyday English, HellCorp—A Modern Day Screwtape Letters, The Pilgrim’s Progress in Everyday English, and reworking Lewis’ Narnia Series for children, bringing his expertise to these timeless classics.

Charis - God's Grace Gifts
A Spiritual Gifts Study
Grace is more than a comforting thought—it is the unstoppable, unearned favor of God, poured out with intention and purpose. In Scripture, the Greek word Charis captures this truth: grace saves, but it also equips. It is God’s way of arming His people for kingdom work, infusing them with Christian spiritual gifts that bring light, healing, and hope to a darkened world.
Charis: God’s Grace Gifts takes you on a biblical journey to uncover the beauty, diversity, and power of the Holy Spirit gifts God has given every believer. These gifts are not ornamental. They are assignments—tailored by the Spirit to meet real needs, transform lives, and build the Body of Christ. Whether your calling is teaching, serving, encouraging, giving, leading, or showing mercy, you’ll discover how each is a vital expression of God’s love in action.
Through rich biblical teaching on grace and practical application, this guide will help you:
~ Discover your spiritual gift and how it operates.
~ See where your gift fits into God’s larger plan for equipping the Church.
~ Overcome the fears or doubts that keep your gift dormant.
~ Use your gift for Christian discipleship and service in everyday life.
This is more than a study of grace in the Bible—it’s a call to action. The Church is strongest when every believer steps into their God-given role.
You were created, saved, and gifted for a purpose. Charis will help you discover, develop, and deploy the grace gift God has entrusted to you. Once you see how grace empowers your calling, you’ll never see your life—or your place in the Body of Christ—the same way again.

In Greek, charis (Χάρις)—it means grace—God’s unstoppable, unearned favour. But grace is not passive. It moves. It builds. It equips. It transforms ordinary believers into carriers of divine power.
In CHARIS: GOD’S GRACE GIFTS, the veil is pulled back on one of Scripture’s most overlooked truths: grace comes not only to save us, but to arm us. Every believer is entrusted with spiritual gifts—supernatural abilities tailored by the Spirit to meet the needs of a broken, restless world.
From the pulpit to the kitchen table, from acts of bold leadership to whispers of compassion, these gifts are the lifelines God throws to His people. They are not suggestions. They are assignments. And when each gift operates in harmony, the Church becomes an unstoppable force of hope and healing.
Through practical teaching, and deep biblical insight, this book will help you discover your place in God’s plan—and awaken the grace gift within you.
The question is no longer if you are gifted. It’s what you will do with what you’ve been given.

What Does Love Require of Me?
A Biblical Perspective on Sin, Sexuality, and the Church's response
David O. Harrison, a former Brethren elder and founder of Bus Stop Bible Studies, invites readers on a deeply personal and theological journey—one that resists shallow answers and refuses to ignore the tension between grace and obedience. With vulnerability and clarity, Harrison unpacks what the Bible teaches about sin, identity, and love, encouraging Christians to move beyond cultural clichés and toward scriptural convictions rooted in mercy, truth, and the transforming power of the Holy Spirit.
This book is not a diatribe, nor is it an endorsement of culture over Scripture. Instead, it is a call to be “New Testament normal”—to love others radically while remaining obedient to the commands of Jesus. Drawing from Scripture, real-life encounters, and thoughtful reflection, Harrison challenges readers and church leaders alike to ask the difficult question: What does love really require of me?
Whether you are a church leader, a concerned parent, a seeker, or someone wrestling with questions of identity and faith, this book offers clarity, compassion, and the hope of a God who redeems.

In this book, WHAT DOES LOVE REQUIRE OF ME?, David strives to find what God, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit would convey to us about the topic of homosexuality and, specifically, how church leaders should be handling the topic with their congregations. An extraordinarily challenging task in these prophetic times.
Navigating around legalism, David writes, “Grace is my favourite word in all of Scripture, quite simply because I have received so much of it. Grace is the one thing that keeps me running back to God. Grace overwhelms me, amazes me, and delights me. There is only one single-word description that comes anywhere close to describing God. Grace. Grace is love taken to the nth power. Omnipotence, omniscience, eternal, etc. are words that are unfathomable to the human mind, but not grace. Grace is experiential. And, alongside grace are all the other attributes of God.
When we consider the topic of homosexuality and interacting with the gay community we cannot, and must not, ignore a single one of God's other attributes - even if grace is, from a human perspective, the overarching pinnacle of all His attributes.”
David says, “I very much enjoy writing, primarily blogging, and I have done so for several years now. I never imagined that one day I would be writing a book, and not in my wildest dreams that it would be on the topic of homosexuality—a topic that causes me considerable personal unease. But here it is.”
David Harrison was born and raised in England and emigrated to Canada in 1973 at the age of 21. David became a Christ-follower at the age of 35. For 23-years David ran a successful audiovisual company in Toronto. In 2006 David founded Bus Stop Bible Studies, a ministry which used public transit advertising panels to display messages of encouragement to many millions of people in Canada.
Is Jesus God? What the Bible Teaches Us
A Devotional Book That Provides Assurance and Answers to the Age-Old Question, "Is Jesus God?"
In this book, we rely totally on Scripture for the answers, both from the Old and New Testaments.
Many people say: “He [Jesus] is God himself” but can we really say that? How can he be God when there are so many verses that show that he is under the Father or separate from the Father? Does the Bible teach about a triune God? Is it at all important that Jesus is God? Many ask why God didn’t make it clear in His word., a Catholic theologian, reasoned:
“Because He wanted to appear unveiled to those who seek him with all their heart, and because he wanted to stay veiled to those who flee from him with all their heart, he set his recognisability in such a way, that he gave signs of Himself, visible to those who seek him but invisible to those who do not seek him. There is enough light for those who want nothing else but to see, and there is enough darkness for the others who don’t want to see.”

Sometimes a customer review says it best: "David, Thank you so much, I truly love your interpretation of CS Lewis. I am currently taking a free online course from Hillsdale College on CS Lewis. When I first started reading his books, I did read the entire book, but felt like a middle-aged intellectual boob. What was I thinking that I could even complete a course like this with such a deep philosophical author?"
"I wondered how many times I would have to re-read the book, or how many trips to my online dictionary I would have to make, till I understood the full philosophical work in the book. Then, out of sheer luck, I was scrolling the web and YOUR books popped up. So I searched to find one and vavoom, I understood.
You were God sent!!!!! And I mean that with all my heart. I was so frustrated with the words and just the lack of Everyday English that I was almost ready to give up on the whole endeavour of becoming a more educated person in his writings."
Thank you again for taking the time to write these books so folks like me could have a greater understanding." D.
C.S. Lewis’s Mere Christianity is recognized as one of the most persuasive works of Christian apologetics in the twentieth century. Yet its mid-century British idioms can be a barrier for modern readers.
In this edition, David O. Harrison faithfully renders Lewis’s arguments in clear, contemporary English, allowing Lewis’s logical precision and theological insights to shine without distraction. Harrison’s own journey—from skeptic to believer—mirrors Lewis’s, making him a natural guide for today’s audience.
This reworking preserves the intellectual rigour and timeless wisdom of Lewis’s original text while making it accessible to students, seekers, and serious readers alike. More than seventy years after its initial publication, Mere Christianity remains a timeless challenge to minds and a transformative influence on lives.

Mere Christianity in Everyday English
When C.S. Lewis first delivered his wartime radio talks that later became Mere Christianity, he spoke with clarity, wit, and deep conviction. Yet more than seventy years later, many of his words—especially his British idioms and 1940s expressions—can feel like a foreign language to modern readers.
That’s why David O. Harrison set out to bridge the gap. Having once struggled through Lewis’s original prose with a dictionary at his side, Harrison has carefully updated the language for today’s North American and international audience—without losing the brilliance, logic, or heart of Lewis’s timeless classic.
Like Lewis himself, Harrison came to faith as an adult after years of resistance. Their stories, though separated by a generation, mirror one another: Lewis, the Oxford scholar influenced by friends like J.R.R. Tolkien; Harrison, a businessman whose life was transformed by God’s grace at age thirty-five. Both discovered that the Christian faith was not merely a set of rules, but the answer to life’s deepest questions.
Mere Christianity in Everyday English invites a new generation of seekers and believers to wrestle with the same arguments, discover the same truth, and encounter the same living God who captivated Lewis and continues to change lives today.
Clear. Accessible. Faithful to the original. This edition opens the door for readers everywhere to experience the life-changing message of one of Christianity’s most influential books.

C.S. Lewis' The Screwtape Letters in Everyday English
An Easy to Read Version of a C.S. Lewis Classic
More than 8,000 copies sold! 450+ 5 Star Reviews on Amazon.
When I read Mere Christianity for the first time, I was left wondering if the average North American reader would be able to follow along without having an English-to-‘English’ dictionary at their side. Even I had to Google the meaning of some of Lewis’ 1940’s colloquialisms. Lewis himself makes reference to the changes in language and word usage over time. This led me to rework his book into Mere Christianity in Everyday English. I never expected such a positive response to my efforts, with an 82% five-star rating on Amazon. This success has led me to tackle The Screwtape Letters, which Lewis had written in the year before Mere Christianity. It is hoped that The Screwtape Letters in Everyday English will likewise enable it to be enjoyed by a broader audience.
Here is a before and after so that you can get a flavour of the rewording of the book:
ORIGINAL:
MY DEAR WORMWOOD,
I note with grave displeasure that your patient has become a Christian. Do not indulge the hope that you will escape the usual penalties; indeed, in your better moments, I trust you would hardly even wish to do so. In the meantime we must make the best of the situation. There is no need to despair; hundreds of these adult converts have been reclaimed after a I brief sojourn in the Enemy's camp and are now with us. All the habits of the patient, both mental and bodily, are still in our favour.
EVERYDAY ENGLISH:
My dear Wormwood,
I am not at all pleased that your patient has been turning Christian. Don’t think for a second that there won’t be consequences for this oversight. However, given the circumstances, we can still salvage the situation. Remember, plenty of adults have briefly explored Christianity only to return to our side. This guy’s habits, mentally and physically, still lean in our favour.
Clive Staples Lewis was a Professor of English at Oxford University and authored many famous novels including The Chronicles of Narnia and The Problem of Pain. The most recent estimate for sales of his books is more than 200 million copies.

This led me to reworking the book into MERE CHRISTIANITY IN EVERYDAY ENGLISH. Never did I expect such a positive response to my efforts, with a seventy percent five-star rating on Amazon. This success has led me to tackle THE SCREWTAPE LETTERS which Lewis had written in the year before MERE CHRISTIANITY was published. It is hoped that THE SCREWTAPE LETTERS IN EVERYDAY ENGLISH will likewise enable it to be enjoyed by a larger audience.
Clive Staples Lewis was a Professor of English at Oxford University and authored many famous novels including THE CHRONICLES OF NARNIA and THE PROBLEM OF PAIN. The most recent estimate for sales of his books is in excess of 200 million copies.
C.S. Lewis' The Screwtape Letters in Everyday English - LARGE PRINT EDITION
An Esty-to-Read Version of a C.S. Lewsi Classic

C.S. Lewis' Miracles - In Everyday English
An Easy-to Read Version of a Literary Classic
This version of C.S. Lewis’s classic work, Miracles, is rewritten in everyday English to bring his profound insights to a modern audience. While the original text is a masterpiece, its scholarly language can sometimes hide the message; this adaptation preserves the heart of Lewis’ ideas while simplifying the language for the average reader. The book explores the choice between Naturalism—the belief that nature is “the whole show”—and Supernaturalism, which recognizes a Creator who stands outside the system. By examining the logic trap of believing nature is everything, it shows how human reason and morality point toward a reality beyond the physical world. Ultimately, it focuses on the Grand Miracle of the Incarnation, illustrating how every miracle fits within God's strategically coherent plan to remake the universe.

HellCorp™ - The Victor Shade Memos
A Modern Take on the Screwtape Letters
Customer reviews - 5 out of 5 stars on Amazon (50+)
They call it HellCorp™. We call it a wake-up call.
It’s 2025. Political corruption swirls through every headline. Faith has been branded, marketed, and packaged for mass consumption. The West wears Christianity like an accessory—polished on Sundays, forgotten by Monday morning.
Enter Victor Slade, a sleek senior executive in HellCorp™’s Department of Human Affairs. His target? Ethan—an ordinary man caught between shallow faith and the deep life God intended. Shade’s weapon? Zane Blackwell, an overeager (and frequently inept) junior tempter whose blunders would be laughable… if the stakes weren’t eternal.
Through a series of scathing “memos,” Victor schools Zane on the modern art of soul sabotage—using everything from digital addiction and identity politics to church consumerism and the so-called “therapeutic gospel.” Along the way, other HellCorp™ operatives—Vorhees, Ashburn and Blightheart—slither in to lend their own brand of poisonous expertise.
Darkly witty and uncomfortably insightful, The Victor Shade Letters exposes the schemes of the enemy in a way that is as convicting as it is entertaining. Whether you laugh, squirm, or find yourself in the crosshairs, one thing is certain: you’ll never see temptation the same way again.

The Next 60 Seconds - The Urgency of Knowing What's Next
Biblical Answers to Heaven, Hell and Life After Death
What happens the moment after you take your last breath?
Life is unpredictable. Accidents, illnesses, and unforeseen events can change everything in an instant. But one certainty remains—every person will face their final 60 seconds. The question is: Are you ready for what comes next?
In The Next 60 Seconds, David Harrison explores one of life’s most critical and often-avoided questions: What happens after death? Is there an afterlife? Do Heaven and Hell exist? Can we truly know what awaits us beyond this life?
Written for skeptics, seekers, and believers alike, this book tackles some of the most profound questions about eternity:
✔ Does God exist, and if so, which God is real?
✔ What is the nature of sin, and why does it matter?
✔ Why does a loving God allow suffering and evil?
✔ What does the Bible really say about Heaven and Hell?
✔ Is there more than one way to get to Heaven?
✔ What happens to those who have never heard the Gospel?
✔ How can I be sure of my eternal destiny?
Harrison presents a logical, evidence-based, and deeply personal examination of faith, salvation, and the afterlife. With clarity and compassion, he addresses common doubts, dismantles misconceptions, and offers a clear path to understanding and peace.
If you’ve ever wondered about the meaning of life, the existence of God, or what lies beyond this world, this book is for you. It challenges you to seek truth, think critically, and prepare for eternity—because what you believe about the next 60 seconds determines the rest of forever.
Are you willing to explore the answers?

Are you ready for what’s next? Are you certain? Can you be certain?
This is a book for skeptics and the questioning. It delves into topics such as the fragility of life and what are the odds of God existing or not? Who is God anyway? If God does exist, which god is He? Aren't there thousands of gods to choose from? Why did God make the universe and everything in it (including you)? If God does exist, is it rational that one should be able to have an intimate relationship with Him—does that even make sense? And why did God allow evil in this world? Do we truly have freedom of choice? What is sin, and how is it measured? Did God make Hell and, if He did, who gets to go there? If God is love, then what is love? Where is Heaven, what's it like, and how can I get in? What about all those people who haven't even heard about God? Where do they end up? Is this present life worth all the effort? Is it simply 'lights out' at the end? Is there any certainty in all of this?
Throughout recorded history, mankind has struggled to find answers to each of these questions. The purpose of this book is to provide a starting point for you to investigate 'life's big questions' and allow you to follow a reasoned and logical journey to find the answers to your questions, and most importantly, to find peace in those answers
David Harrison was born and raised in England and immigrated to Canada in 1973 at the age of 21 and became a Christ-follower at the age of 35. For 23-years David ran a successful audiovisual company in Toronto. In 2006 David founded Bus Stop Bible Studies, a ministry which used public transit advertising panels to display messages of encouragement to many millions of people in Canada.
A Vital Understanding of Christianity
A Modern Day 'Mere Christianity'
What do Christians really believe—and why does it matter?
A quote: "Here’s the rub: science, for all its brilliance, can only take us so far. It weighs, measures, and records. It tells us how fast light travels and how limestone hardens. But it cannot answer whether cruelty is evil or kindness is noble. A microscope can reveal the cell, but not the sorrow in a lie. It can tell you what is happening—but not what ought to happen. In the end, the best science can say is, “This is what we saw when we looked.”
In A Vital Understanding of Christianity, David O. Harrison offers a clear, compelling exploration of the foundational truths of the Christian faith. With warmth, insight, and clarity, he leads readers through the heart of the gospel—from the reality of moral law and the problem of sin to the hope found in Christ’s death, resurrection, and return. Drawing on Scripture, reason, the inspiration of C.S. Lewis, and life experience, Harrison addresses the deepest questions of the human heart while stripping away religious confusion and cultural clichés. Whether you’re curious about Christianity, a new believer, or seeking to deepen your faith, this book invites you to rediscover the breathtaking simplicity and eternal significance of the good news. Accessible yet profound, this is Christianity explained for real life—anchored in truth, full of hope, and overflowing with grace.
The Magician's Nephew Early Reader Version of 7-12 Year-olds
C.S. Lewis Classic Rewritten for Younger Audiences
This version of The Magician's Nephew, by C.S. Lewis, has been formatted specifically for younger readers (7 to 9 years of age). It uses 13-point type, increased line and paragraph spacing, drop-caps have been removed, and any references to violence have been toned down to be age-appropriate.
Discover the enchanting world of Narnia with this, the first book in C.S. Lewis's beloved seven-book series, now beautifully adapted for today's young readers. This version brings the magic of Narnia to life in everyday English, making it more accessible while staying true to the original text. The author has carefully updated British idioms and vocabulary for North American and international audiences.
Before the wardrobe, the secret snacks of Turkish Delight, and the White Witch’s eternal winter, there was a song. C.S. Lewis’s The Magician’s Nephew serves as the foundational "Genesis" of the Narnia chronicles, whisking readers back to the soot-stained streets of Victorian London. We meet Digory Kirke and Polly Plummer, two children whose rainy-day curiosity leads them into the clutches of Digory’s eccentric, arguably delusional Uncle Andrew.
Using experimental magic rings, the pair is thrust into the Wood between the Worlds—a silent, leafy crossroads between infinite universes. Their journey spans the crumbling, silent ruins of Charn to the literal birth of Narnia. As Aslan’s melody calls a new world into being, the children witness the arrival of ancient evil and the planting of the first seeds of redemption. It is a whimsical yet profound exploration of how a simple wooden wardrobe and a lonely lamp-post first found their way into legend.

Prince Caspian in Everyday English
The Chronicles of Narnia - Book Four
Imagine standing on a railway platform, bracing yourself for another boring term at boarding school, when suddenly the air starts to shimmer. In an instant, you aren't waiting for a train anymore—you’re standing on a beach in a world you thought you’d never see again.
This is the setup for C.S. Lewis’s Prince Caspian. But for Peter, Susan, Edmund, and Lucy, this homecoming is bittersweet. While only one year has passed in England, centuries have marched by in Narnia. The vibrant, magical land they once ruled as Kings and Queens has grown cold and silent. The talking beasts are in hiding, the trees no longer dance, and a race of humans called Telmarines has conquered the land, dismissing magic as a myth.
At the center of the struggle is Caspian, the rightful heir to the throne. He is a young man caught between the "civilized" world of his cruel uncle, King Miraz, and his secret longing for the "Old Narnia." When Caspian blows the legendary horn of Queen Susan, he summons the Pevensies back to help him reclaim his kingdom.
It is a stirring tale of faith, courage, and the restoration of a world that lost its way. Lewis reminds us that even when the "old magic" seems forgotten, it is never truly gone as long as there are those brave enough to believe in it.

The Voyage of the Dawn Treader in Everyday English
The Chronicles of Narnia - Book Five
It starts with a painting—one that looks a little too real for comfort. Edmund and Lucy Pevensie are spending the holidays with their cousin, Eustace Scrubb, a boy so unpleasant he almost makes you miss the Blitz. Suddenly, the water in the painting begins to splash, the frame vanishes, and the trio is plunged into the Great Eastern Ocean of Narnia.
They are hauled aboard the Dawn Treader, a magnificent ship helmed by their old friend, King Caspian. But this isn’t a voyage of conquest; it’s a mission of honor. Caspian is sailing to the very edge of the world to find the seven lost lords who were banished during his uncle’s tyrannical reign.
Unlike the previous books, this story is a series of episodic wonders. They encounter islands of dreams, pools that turn everything to gold, and invisible enemies. Yet the heart of the story lies in the transformation of Eustace—a literal "dragon" of a boy who must find his humanity through a painful, beautiful encounter with Aslan. The Voyage of the Dawn Treader is Lewis’s masterpiece on the beauty of the journey and the realization that every horizon leads us toward something much greater than ourselves.

Charles Spurgeon's Morning & Evening
A Daily Devotional Rewritten in Everyday English
"The first book I received as a gift after I said “Yes” to Jesus was Spurgeon’s Morning and Evening. I still clearly remember reading, on the morning of November 7, “Behold, I have graven thee upon the palms of my hands.” At that moment, I realized that God knew me personally, not just as one among millions. My prayer is that each morning and evening, you’ll find the same encouragement in the words of God and Charles Spurgeon, a great man of faith, now rewritten for you in familiar, everyday English.”
For generations, Christians around the world have turned to Charles Spurgeon’s Morning and Evening for daily encouragement, conviction, and renewed affection for Christ. Its pages carry the warmth of a pastor who not only understood Scripture deeply, but who also understood the human heart—its fears, failures, hopes, and longings for grace. Yet for many modern readers, the language of the nineteenth century can sometimes feel distant, obscuring the beauty Spurgeon so passionately desired to communicate.
This adaptation seeks to bring that beauty forward in clear, accessible, everyday English while preserving the depth, reverence, and devotional richness of the original work. Great care has been taken to retain Spurgeon’s pastoral voice, his love for Scripture, and his unwavering focus on Jesus Christ. The goal has never been to replace the original, but to open its treasures to a new generation of readers who may struggle with older expressions and phrasing.

The Silver Chair in Everyday English
The Chronicles of Narnia - Book Six
C. S. Lewis had a remarkable gift for telling stories that stirred both the imagination and the soul. In *The Silver Chair*, readers journey through dark forests, ruined cities, underground kingdoms, and dangerous deceptions alongside Jill Pole and Eustace Scrubb as they search for the lost Prince Rilian. Yet beneath the adventure lies something deeper: a story about faith, courage, temptation, and the struggle to hold onto truth when surrounded by confusion.
For many modern readers, however, the language and phrasing of Lewis’ era can occasionally create distance between the reader and the heart of the story. This adaptation by David Harrison seeks to bridge that gap by presenting *The Silver Chair* in clear, accessible, everyday English while carefully preserving the spirit, meaning, and wonder of Lewis’ original work.
The aim of this adaptation is not to replace Lewis’ masterpiece, but to make its beauty easier to experience for today’s readers—especially younger audiences, reluctant readers, and those unfamiliar with older British expressions and literary styles. Every effort has been made to remain faithful to the tone, themes, and emotional depth that have made *The Chronicles of Narnia* beloved around the world for generations.
At its heart, *The Silver Chair* reminds us that truth can be forgotten, comfort can become captivity, and courage often begins with simply remembering what is real. May this adaptation help a new generation step more easily into Narnia—and discover its timeless wisdom for themselves.

The Last Battle in Everyday English
The Chronicles of Narnia - Book Seven
The Last Battle is the final and most sobering story in The Chronicles of Narnia. In this closing chapter of C. S. Lewis’ beloved series, the land of Narnia faces deception, confusion, betrayal, and ultimately its ending. Yet woven through the darkness is a radiant hope—a reminder that beyond every ending lies the possibility of something far greater and more real than we have ever known.
Lewis wrote this story with layers of meaning that continue to challenge and inspire readers of all ages. Beneath the talking animals, battles, and adventures are timeless questions about truth, loyalty, eternity, and the danger of believing comforting lies instead of enduring reality. But for many modern readers, the older language and literary style can sometimes make those truths harder to fully grasp.
This adaptation by David Harrison presents The Last Battle in clear, accessible, everyday English while carefully preserving the heart, tone, and spiritual depth of Lewis’ original work. The purpose is not to replace the classic, but to help today’s readers encounter its beauty and meaning without the barrier of unfamiliar expressions or dated phrasing.
Every generation needs stories that awaken courage, wisdom, and hope. The Last Battle reminds us that appearances can deceive, that faithfulness matters even in dark times, and that the truest world may be the one we have not yet fully seen.

20 Questions to Ask an Atheist
A Journey Through the Great Divide: Twenty Honest Dialogues on Faith, Reason, and the Human Condition
David O. Harrison spent the first thirty-five years of his life as a skeptic, viewing the world through the lens of atheism before a profound spiritual shift led him to theism. In this book, he draws upon that dual history to bridge the gap between two of the most significant worldviews in human history. Rather than a one-sided monologue, this work is a structured debate that presents both theistic and atheistic perspectives with intellectual honesty.
Through twenty foundational questions, the reader is invited to explore the mathematical intelligibility of the universe, the origin of biological information, the persistence of religious impulse, and the reality of moral outrage. Each chapter provides a set of scientific and philosophical facts intended to ground the conversation in reason rather than rhetoric. By contrasting the biological legacy of a self-organizing cosmos with the purposeful design of a necessary mind, Harrison challenges readers to examine the evidence and reach their own conclusions.
The inquiry culminates in a final audit of our shared existence, posing the most urgent question of the human experience: “Does the story of Good and Evil end in Justice or Silence?” Whether you are a firm believer, a staunch atheist, or a curious skeptic, this book provides the framework to facilitate the honest conversations that our civilization requires.
