Bob and Suzie Hunter, with their friends, Pat and Rita Kelly, have incorporated Folded Universe as a company. Bob and Suzie’s paper has been published and created an enormous stir in the world of physics. Other physicists assured them that it was worthy of a Nobel Prize. Their safari business is doing well and the government wants a plan for creating a colony on Jura. Bob and Suzie are also working on a use for the portals that will totally disrupt the economy if it isn’t implemented properly.

However, one of the criminals who stole a portal generator lost it to Russian spies. Amidst their theoretical researches, Bob and Suzie have to contend with both Russian and Chinese aggression. They were planning on economic upheaval, not wars.

Dr. Dean S. Hartley III writes science fiction and Christian inspirational books.

Dean S. Hartley III has been the Principal of Hartley Consulting since 2001. He worked one summer at the Psychometrics Lab in Chapel Hill, NC. In college, he worked as a chemistry lab technician at Milliken Research. He spent one Christmas vacation as a salesman in a (smoking) pipe store. During four years of active duty in the Army he ran war simulations for the Joint Staff. He worked in operations research and production planning for the Milliken textile company for 10 years. He worked at the Oak Ridge National Laboratory (ORNL) and other DOE facilities for 15 years. He received an A.B. degree from Wofford College in math and foreign languages and his PhD in piecewise linear topology from the University of Georgia. He is the author of Predicting Combat Effects, Unconventional Conflict: A Modeling Perspective, An Ontology for Unconventional Conflict, An Ontology of Modern Conflict: Including Conventional Combat and Unconventional Conflict, and co-author of Cognitive Superiority: Information to Power, the last four published by Springer. He and his wife Eileen live in Oak Ridge, TN, and have two children, Theresa Nelson and Elise Henderson, and three grandchildren
